Artifact Reflection

As I navigate my career journey in Saint Lucia and the wider OECS region, I’ve come to recognize the critical importance of acquiring relevant skills that align with the evolving demands of the job market. The digital and creative industries are rapidly expanding, and roles such as data analysts and AI/ML specialists are increasingly in demand. Yet, I acknowledge that I currently lack many of the technical and soft skills required to thrive in these sectors.

To remain competitive and future-ready, I must adapt by embracing digital literacy, technological fluency, and creative competencies, while also cultivating leadership and resilience. These skills are not only essential for personal growth but also for contributing meaningfully to the region’s economic transformation.

However, I’m also aware of the challenges we face: disparities in internet access and resistance to organizational change can hinder progress. Despite these barriers, I am committed to upskilling and staying informed so I can shape a purposeful career path and support the digital advancement of my country and region.
